What Is Userlytics?

Userlytics is a user research platform that pays people to test websites, mobile apps, prototypes, advertisements and other digital products. Companies use the feedback from testers to find usability problems and improve their products.

How It Works

Create a free tester account and complete your profile. Userlytics uses your demographic information and interests to determine which research studies may be suitable for you.

When you match with a study, you receive an invitation. Tests can ask you to navigate a website, use an app, compare different designs, complete a shopping task or explain your thoughts about a product.

Most tests require you to speak your thoughts out loud while completing the assigned tasks.

What Can You Test?

Userlytics studies can involve websites, apps, prototypes, advertisements, videos, online shopping experiences and other digital products. Some studies are completed independently, while others involve a live conversation with a researcher.

How Much Can You Earn?

Userlytics currently advertises incentives of around $10-$50 per study. Its support documentation says typical usability tests take around 20-40 minutes.

The number of studies you receive is not guaranteed. Invitations are selected from the tester database based on the requirements of individual research projects.

Getting Paid

Userlytics pays testers through PayPal. Approved tests are paid automatically every two weeks, with payments generally arriving around 15 days after completing the test.

European testers, including people in the EU and UK, are paid in euros according to Userlytics' tester terms.

Is Userlytics Worth It?

Userlytics is worth trying if you prefer testing real websites and apps over completing repetitive surveys. Individual studies can pay considerably more than typical survey tasks, although the biggest limitation is that you cannot control how many tests you receive.
